Omil is a UX researcher with cross-vertical experience in UX and business strategy. She believes in advocating for the user but knows how to weigh insights and recommendations in the context of business goals. She is passionate about eliminating users' pain points and understanding their behaviors in order to design human-centered solutions.

 

Omil has delivered design research work across several industries, including insurance, financial services, consumer products, and big tech. Prior to Gopuff, she was a senior design researcher at frog and holds an Economics degree from New York University.

Work Experience

  • Partner with product, design, and engineering teams to identify the highest leverage product solutions for field employees globally

  • Drive research priorities and ensure insights answer critical product and business decisions across a mix of workstreams (dispatch and auto-assignment, risk monitoring, a chain of custody, etc.)

  • Create research plans and conduct various mixed methods research methodologies such as 1:1 interviews, design sprints, surveys, usability testing, contextual inquiries, prototype, and concept testing

  • Communicate research insights to cross-functional teams and translate research findings to product and business impact

  • Led research with multidisciplinary teams to develop products, services, and experiences for Fortune 500 clients and executives

  • Guided clients in the entire research process, including customer journey mapping, concept ideation and validation, competitive landscape analysis, market sizing, heuristic analysis, and road maps

  • Devised research plans for both qualitative and quantitative research, including recruitment, user interviews, surveys, contextual inquiries, co-creation workshops, validation sessions, and usability testing

  • Wrote proposals and pitched for new business, including frog’s first project with a biotechnology firm (~$500k) and secured additional project phases for two key clients ($450k+)

  • ​Worked on strategy and technology implementation projects for various consumer product companies; supported various functional areas for product launches, measurement frameworks, and adoption strategies
